Hello I am Max Capps!

Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Western Colorado, I began my journey as a pipe repairman in around 2009 shortly after I moved to Northern California. I revitalized many thousands of briars (somewhere around 25,000 as of now), and learned the particular attributes that define a truly great pipe. I began carving my own pipes a few years later.

I enjoy making pieces that reflect the beauty of the wood, with classic and unique shapes carved in my own style.
